Florida home price growth still out-pacing nation

3 August 2016

According to information from CoreLogic, the greater Cape Coral-Fort Myers region’s home prices, including distressed sales, increased by 8.4 percent in June 2016 compared to June 2015. The national average was 5.7%. Florida’s overall home prices rose by 7 percent in June, the sixth largest increase of any state. The only states to outperform the state were Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah and Nevada.

“Home prices continue to increase across the country, especially in the lower price ranges and in a number of metro areas,” says Anand Nallathambi, president and CEO of CoreLogic, in a statement. “We see prices continuing to increase at a healthy rate over the next year by as much as 5 percent.”
