Florida’s economic numbers on the up

According to a report from Durham, N.H.-based e-forecasting.com, Florida’s leading economic indicators rose 0.2 percent in the month of July after an increase of 0.1 percent in June. Six of the 10 components that make up Florida’s leading indicator had a positive contribution in July: unemployment claims, building permits, international tourism outlook, Floridians’ consumer sentiment, interest rate spread and the national technology index. The four indicators that were down included weekly hours in manufacturing, exports of manufactures, national stock prices and domestic vacation barometer.
