According to a new report from RealtyTrac, the foreclosure rate in Florida for the third quarter of this year is down 17 percent compared to the same time last year. The good new ends there, however, as Florida is still number two behind Nevada in total foreclosure filings with one out of every 186 housing under foreclosure. The state has five of the ten metro worst-hit areas with one in every 153 housing units under foreclosure in Jacksonville, one in every 155 in Daytona Beach, one in every 162 in Tampa and in Miami, one in every 176 in Lakeland, and one in every 179 in Ocala.
