Focus Hotels – a subsidiary of GK Immobile – counts on a significant improvement in results in 2021 and plans to expand the chain by another hotel in Bydgoszcz this year, and by another two in Q1 2022 : in Warsaw and in Stargard, said vice-president Łukasz Płoszyński.

“On May 1 this year, our chain exceeded the number of 1,000 rooms after the opening of the 85-key 4-star Focus Premium Elbląg hotel, and in June, the 90-room hotel in Szczecin will join the chain, which will operate under the new Grand Focus Hotel brand dedicated to 4- and 4-star hotels. 5-star hotel with a very high standard Focus Hotel Premium Bydgoszcz with 89 rooms, which is being built in a reconstructed office building, will open its doors in September 2021. In the first quarter of next year, two more facilities are planned to open, the 234-room Focus Premium in Warsaw at ul. Woronicza and the 60-room Focus in Stargard in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, “said Płoszyński.

In his opinion, the company’s strategy with the planned development of the hotel chain means that its offer attracts investors’ interest.

“The company’s strategy has been based on long-term hotel leases for years, our offer based on guaranteed rent has become even more attractive nowadays, as evidenced by the conclusion of a hotel lease agreement in Elbląg. At present, the company is in talks to lease new operating hotels. throughout the country “- added the president.

The chain hopes that as the pandemic improves, the hotel occupancy will increase, especially in attractive tourist locations.

“All our hotels are open, we have seen a gradual increase in bookings since the relaxation of the restrictions, which should accelerate even more after removing the limit of 50% of rooms that we can sell, which we expect should take place in June. In the summer season we can expect high demand internal for tourist services, which should translate into high occupancy rates in our hotels located in the Tri-City, in particular Focus Premium Sopot. In turn, from September we expect increased business traffic in all hotels “- added Płoszyński.

In his opinion, this year, the results of hotels will be negatively affected by the pandemic situation and the often incomprehensible and unfair restrictions on business activities imposed on industries.

“In the coming months, the pace of easing further restrictions will be the key to the company’s results, and the greatest threat is a possible re-lockdown. At the moment, the company forecasts a significant improvement in results in 2021 compared to last year. The current rate of vaccination and declines in the number of infections allow us to be optimistic about into the future “- summed up the president.

Focus Hotels is currently one of the fastest growing Polish hotel chains. Currently, the chain includes 11 hotels in Gdańsk, Łódź, Poznań, Szczecin, Bydgoszcz, Chorzów, Inowrocław, Sopot, Elbląg and Lublin (6 of which operate under the Focus Premium brand).
