Developer Craig Menin and restaurateur Dennis Max, have submitted plans with the city of Delray Beach to build a 30,000 sq ft food hall. The facility would house 30 vendors with approximately 400 sq ft set aside for each tenant. The scheme will be part of the larger 120,000 sq ft Delray City Market, which will include a 3,000 sq ft rooftop garden along with a three-story, 200-spot parking garage. Menin Development invest $4.6m to acquire the property off Atlantic Avenue, originally planned to be the upscale Metropolitan condo project. The developer plans to break ground this year in time for a summer 2019 opening.
