Foreign investments in Bulgaria drop 21%

Foreign direct investments fell 21 percent y-o-y on the Bulgarian market in the first nine months of 2016, according to statistics published by the central bank.

Real estate investments amounted to €53.5m, up from €46.8m a year ago. Investors from Switzerland were the most active, accounting for €22.7m of the total, followed by Russia (€6.6m) and Norway (€6.1m).
