Foreign trade turnover in the January β October this year according to exports at current prices amounted to PLN854.5 bn, while imports amounted to PLN 811.9 bn, according to Statistics Poland (GUS). The positive balance reached the level of PLN 42.6 bn, while in the same period of 2019 year amounted to PLN 3.3 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of the 2019, both exports and imports decreased by 0.2 percent and 4.8 percent respectively. Poland has the largest share in total exports with developed countries β 86.3 percent (of which EU 73.8 percent), and imports β 64.9 percent (of which EU 55.2 percent), as against 87.0 percent (of which EU 74.1 percent) and 66.0 percent (of which EU 56.2 percent) in the corresponding period in 2019 year. However, the smallest share was observed with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, which in total exports was at the same level and amounted to 6.0 percent, and in import 6.3 percent, as against 7.8 percent in January β October 2019, according to GUS.
