The District 4 Court has approved a request for the early release from prison of former Romanian prime minister Adrian Nastase.
The decision is not final, and the Bucharest Court will have to review the case before Nastase, who has been locked up for seven months now, can go free.
He was sentenced to two years in prison in June 2012 on charges of corruption.
