Fortenova Group has taken over Agrokor Group business holdings. The Croatian food and retail company, which had entered bankruptcy proceedings in 2017 under the weight of a €7m debt, operates a total of 159 companies, of which 47 are considered unsustainable, while 30 are sustainable. They will continue to operate under Fortenova. Its largest shareholder, Russia’s Sberbank with a 39.2 percent stake, said early this year that it planned to offload the company.
