More than 2 million tons of freight goods passed through the state-owned Port of Tallinn in January, up 7.7 percent from the previous year. Bulk cargo ships made up the majority of the total, carrying a reported 238,600 tons through the Estonian capital’s ports, a y-o-y increase of 28.3 percent. Mixed cargo ships increased by 12.5 percent, with 64,100 tons, while rolling stock was up 5.4 percent to 318,700 tons in January. Liquid cargo ships, meanwhile, decreased by 15.3 percent to 1.5 million tons.
