The Marinha Hospital (Navy Hospital), in Santa Engrácia, Lisbon, has been sold for €17.9m in an auction held by the Portugal’s General Directorate of Treasury and Finance (DGTF) as part of the 3rd edition of the Urban Renewal Week. According to the organization, a private French investor was the winner of the bid. The property was the most attractive in a batch of 19 properties that DGTF put to auction. The value base bid was €12m. With its view of the Tejo river, the former Marinha Hospital has seven floors and a private gross floor area of 14,980 sqm. In addition to this property, other properties such as a palace on Emenda street in Lisbon sold, as did a house in Cascais (bids started at €363,000) and a a 2 ha plot of land on the beach of Albarquel, Setúbal (bidding began at €2.2m). The total amount collected by the State was €23.4m.
