Friedland Properties buys 20 NYC apartments units for $52.6m

Friedland Properties has picked up two Upper East Side rental buildings for a combined purchase price of $52.6 million. Situated at 1104 Lexington Avenue and 138 East 78th Street, the adjacent six-story properties collectively hold 20 apartments with more than 28,000 sqf of residential and approximately 10,000 sqf of retail space. Nine of the units are rent-stabilized and include retail tenants grocery store and caterer Butterfield Market, antique shop Sylvia Pines and the Windsor Florist. Nicholas Judson and Stuart Ellman of Judson Realty brokered the deal on behalf of Friedland.
