Gabriel Biriș, one of the founding partners of the Biriș Goran law firm, was named secretary of state at the Romanian Ministry of Finance. He will oversee legislative tax reform. The decision was published in the Official Gazette (Monitorul Oficial). Biriș had to suspend his membership with the Bucharest Bar Association before assuming his new position with the state.
Biriș Goran will continued to be managed by Victor Constantinescu and Gelu Goran. The firm’s tax department will be run by Ruxandra Jianu.
