Lower costs and sales increase have finally convinced Gant Development to reconsider a merger with the Kraków-based Geo developer. “Mergers in the property business are needed,” says Karol Antkowiak, chairman at Gant Development board. “Both of the companies need their capital to increase, as well as to have more projects. The bigger scale would mean reduced costs is the gist of the strategy Gant’s head is proposing. “We’re active in the same sector, though we have different ideas on how to run a business. If we’re talking about a merger, in this case there’s no equality,” says Antkowiak, adding that Gant would not be the company that would be taken over.
