GBI is planning to build a hotel and an apartment complex for students in the center of Mannheim. The company acquired the former municipal plot on Schlachthofstraße for the project. The hotel will offer 220 rooms, a fitness center, conference rooms and 70 parking places. Construction is set to begin in the first quarter of 2016 and is scheduled to finish in 2018. The apartment complex will offer 183 units for students and will be managed by GBI. The cost of the two schemes is more than €50m.
