The energy company GDF Suez will make significant investments in Romania in the wind and gas sectors, worth more than €100m, according to Eric Stab, executive president of GDF Suez in Romania. GDF SUEZ Energy Romania entered the renewable energy market in February by acquiring a 48MW wind farm in Braila County, in eastern Romania. Construction will be completed by the end of November 2012, following an investment around €75m. GDF Suez supplies natural gas to 1.3 million customers in Romania, but also handles natural gas distribution through its subsidiary Distrigaz Sud network.
