Cushman & Wakefield has signed the UK-based GDS Publishing to a 10,000 sqf lease 1688 Meridian Avenue, a 90,000 sqf office building in the heart of South Beach. The global events, research and technology services company will occupy the entire penthouse floor of the building, with over 40 employees scheduled to move in by the third quarter of 2017. Major tenants in the buildings include Regus, which recently leased two full floors, international modeling agency Next Model Management and the global advertising agency J. Walter Thompson Worldwide. Managing Director Gordon Messinger represented Connecticut-based owner Ivy Realty in the lease negotiations while CRECās Steven Hurwitz represented the tenant.
āGDS Publishingās move to 1688 Meridian provided them with the opportunity to be a full-floor tenant in an amazing building with some of the best views in Miami Beach,ā said Messinger. āIvy Realtyās strong institutional ownership and capital improvement programs were deciding factors as well.ā
