The Aloft Jacksonville Airport has been sold for $13.5 million to Los Angeles-based Gehr Hospitality. The 136-room, select-service hotel was developed in 2009 at 751 Skymarks Drive. The five-story hotel features 600 square feet of meeting space, a bar and guest lounge with pool tables and a play area for kids. Holliday Fenoglio Fowler marketed the property on behalf of the seller, Peachtree Hotel Group. The property, which changed hands for just under $99,265 per room key, will be managed by McKibbon Hospitality. Peachtree Hotel Group acquired the asset from Texas-based Summit Hotel Properties in June of 2016 for $8.8 million.
“We like the Jacksonville lodging market, with its rapidly improving local economy, strong employment market, and robust port trade,” said David Lifschitz, President and CEO of The Gehr Group. “We are also excited to add the Aloft brand to our hotel portfolio.”
