Generali acquires IBC office building in central Prague from Mint Investments

7 October 2020

Generali has acquired the IBC office building in Prague 8 from Mint Investments for a reported €70 million, according to Hospodarske noviny. Mint Investments bought the building from AEW in 2017 for an undisclosed price. Since then the company made a range of capital investments, including the modernization of the building’s common areas, its restaurant and the installation of a new HVAC system. This allowed Mint to raise rents for its tenants while increasing the overall occupancy rate. Current tenants include Renault, Mazars and Swiss Life. HN points out that Generali acquired the Kotva department store earlier this year for €138 million.
