Generali Group’s Hungarian insurance division, Generali Biztosito, has acquired the Hungarian portfolio of ERGO. The transaction also includes the company’s Slovakian insurance portfolio. The portfolio encompasses both life and non-life insurance. The price of the deal was not disclosed. “The international Generali Group’s strategic efforts extend beyond being market leaders,” said Mihály Erdős, CEO of Generali Biztosító. “Our ambition is to be the first choice of our clients, offering them a lifelong partnership.”
