Gestamp completes new car parts factory in Nitra

1 July 2019

The automobile supplier Gestamp has completed construction of a new factory in the Slovak town of Nitra. It will be producing aluminum component for the new Jaguar Land Rover plant that opened recently in the same city. The company’s director Francisco Riberas said the factory was the company’s largest for aluminum parts production. “The fact that Jaguar Land Rover decided to hand this responsibility to us is very important and it’s the only such decision that it’s made in Europe.” He said it had been difficult to find employees but that it had managed to hire roughly 250 people. This number is set to grow as production by Jaguar Land Rover ramps up.
