Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust has granted a $15.4 million construction loan for a Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Doral. The borrower, hospitality development and management firm Baywood Hotels, plans to build a 133 key hotel on the site at 8001 Northwest 36th Street. The Greenbelt, Maryland-based Baywood owns and operates the Fairfield Inn & Suites near Miami International Airport, the Hilton Garden Inn Miami South Beach-Royal Polo and the Residence Inn Miami Airport West/Doral. Construction is currently underway on the scheme.
