Globalworth has raised €144m in a planned fundraising, €79m of which came through the sale of new shares priced at €5.90 per share. It sent the remaining €65m from UBS to its institutional advisers York Capital and Oak Hill investment funds and will receive equity (at the same rate) in shares on December 18. Eli Alroy, a Globalworth shareholder, invested about €1.35m through his company AYRAD, while Ioannis Papalekas, the company’s CEO and founder, invested €25m. The funds raised will be used to finance the company’s current development projects as well as to acquire new projects and to pay of debts, Globalworth said in a statement.
