Globalworth has contracted EUR 85 million in financing for green projects in Romania, from IFC, the World Bank’s investment division. The loan is for a period of six years.
“We are pleased to expand our collaboration with IFC through this loan. It is our first “green credit” since we launched the inaugural “green bond” in 2020 and we believe it undoubtedly demonstrates the sustainability of the Globalworth business and the markets we operate in,” said Mihai Zaharia, Director of Investments for Romania and Director of Markets Capital within the Globalworth Group.
The money will help Globalworth have a 100 percent green commercial office portfolio. About 90 percent of the company’s portfolio, consisting of office buildings in Romania and Poland, are environmentally friendly properties.
