Google will acquire a 2.4 acre plot at the 67 acre King’s Cross development following an agreement with KCCLP. The transaction is considered one of the most important occupational acquisitions over the past few years. Construction is supposed to start in late 2013 and is expected to be completed in 2016. Google will then relocate from its current premises in Victoria and Holborn. The new headquarters will be located at the King’s Cross station, to the east of King’s Boulevard and south of Regent’s Canal. KCCLP’s buildings One and Two Pancras Square are scheduled for completion by the end of this year. BNP Paribas Real Estate also will be located at Pancras Square. Google headquarters, designed by architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, will sit above a retail component offering shops, services, cafés and restaurants.
