The German insurer Gothaer Group has officially launched its Romanian branch under the name Gothaer Asigurari Reasigurari, following the completion of its takeover of a 67% stake in the Romanian insurer Platinum Asigurari Reasigurari. The price of the transaction has not been disclosed, however it is known that Gothaer is set to invest тВм15m through to 2017 to recruit consultants, expand the distribution network and launch new products.
The insurer aims to reach тВм60m in gross written premiums during this period, targeting both the retail and corporate sectors.
