Government passes pre-draft budget plan for 2013

Poland’s government has passed a pre-draft budget plan for 2013, which includes a deficit estimated to reach PLN 35.6bn. The figure surpassed expectations, as analysts had predicted it could came in at just PLN 32bn. Poland’s economy is expected to grow 2.2 percent next year. Revenues are projected to rise to PLN 299.15bn, while expenditures could reach PLN 334.78bn. According to the project, wages in Poland could grow by 1.9 percent by the end of next year, with inflation expanding 2.7 percent over the period. The labor market in Poland is expected to see unemployment fall 0.2 percent in 2013.
