The iconic Grandhotel Pupp in Karlovy Vary, the venue of the International Film Festival, was acquired by GHPCZ Invest Limited, part of the Unicapital investment group owned by Pavel Hubáček. The price of the transaction was not disclosed. The new owner plans to invest into the hotel, give it a thorough facelift and improve the quality of the rooms and services. Hubáček bought a 100-percent share from PND Kyresan, which acquired the hotel last year, when it took over the majority share before buying shares from small stockholders. Hubáček is a financier who also controls Creditas bank.
