A new report from Dodge Data & Analytics states that commercial permit values in the greater Orlando area more than doubled for the month of September when compared to September 2015. Last year’s values reached just $92.14 million, whereas the result this year jumped 102 percent to $186.2 million. But the residential sector proved far less dynamic as area homebuilders pulled permits valued at $453.5 million versus $439.3 million for the same time period last year, an increase of just 3 percent. Combined commercial and residential construction accounted for $639.7 million in total project value in the month of September. The areas the report takes into consideration are Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Lake counties.
