According to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), the food services sector in Greece recorded consumption of only 30.5m euros, compared to €109.7m a year earlier. During the first quarter, turnover at food companies decreased by 10.3 percent compared to the period January-March 2019, while the accommodation sector suffered a 17.1 percent annual decline. April turnover in the accommodation sector amounted to €17.6m, compared to €217.5m during in April 2019.
