US financial technology company GreenBox POS agreed to acquire Bulgarian regulated electronic money institution Transact Europe Holdings for EUR 30 million in cash.
The Sofia-headquartered company Transact Europe provides complete payment by offering acquiring, payment and prepaid services, serving hundreds of clients. It is a principal level member of Visa, a worldwide member of MasterCard and a principal member of China UnionPay.
“Our licences and infrastructure combined with GreenBox’s suite of solutions, global strategy and technology platform will create a power synergy that can quickly scale in the European market,” said Vassil Klaklov, CEO Transact Europe.
