Greenman Investments acquires portfolio from Edeka

30 April 2015

Dublin-based Greenman Investments has bought a portfolio of German supermarkets for €95m from Edeka. Once the portfolio is transferred to a new fund, Frankfurt-based listed WCM is planning to take a majority stake. The properties cover 77,500 sqm of Edeka-leased space and they are located in Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony, Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Brandenburg. Greenman plans to carry out extensive modernization and expand the existing store space in five of the smaller centers with a total store space of between 1,000 and 3,000 sqm.
