Guest numbers in hotels across the Czech Republic are increasing. In 2016, hotels, hostels and campgrounds on the Czech market accommodated a total of 18.3 million guests, the majority of whom stayed in four-star hotels. Approximately 9.3 million were foreigners. Prague hotels accommodated 6 million foreigners in 2016, up 5.9 percent y-o-y. The number of domestic hotel guests are also on the rise. In 2016, the figure jumped by 14.3 percent, while the total number of guests in Prague hotels rose 7 percent.
