Hampshire Properties has acquired a two property apartment portfolio in Middletown, CT, located 15 miles south of downtown Hartford. The Madison Chestnut Hill and Madison Northwoods apartments combine for a total of 650 units. Built in 1986, the garden style apartment communities are situated directly across from each other in the Westlake neighborhood of Middletown. Terms of the sale was not disclosed but the buildings were 95 percent leased when the deal was finalized. The properties were sold by Equus Capital Partners, Ltd.

“This offering presented investors with a rare opportunity to acquire a critical mass of well-maintained units across two complementary properties in a desirable bedroom community in New England,” commented Greg Curci, Vice President of Equus.
