Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach nears opening

Orlando-based Hard Rock International is set to open Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach laster this year. It will be the company’s fourth Florida property. Hard Rock is developing the 200 room property property in collaboration with Summit Hospitality Management Group. Hard Rock will be putting its name on the luxury hotel which was the former oceanfront site of the renovated Desert Inn. The facility will feature 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, including meeting rooms with views of the Atlantic Ocean and an open-air terrace.

Abbas Abdulhussein, managing member of Summit Hospitality Management Group, says the company is in the midst of $40 million renovation of the former Desert Inn property at 900 N. Atlantic Ave. “We want to deliver a hotel that gives the best Hard Rock experience. We have not waited for this announcement to start working on changes. For the last 60 days, we’ve been working on design with Hard Rock…We’ve been moving forward for the last two months to get his hotel open and make sure things happen.”
