HTC put its plans to open a European service center in Brno on ice, according to Czech Television. The Taiwanese mobile producer had been planning to centralize its tablet and mobile service operations at the city’s Černovická terrace industrial zone. The company even hired 100 employees to staff the center, but Czech TV reports that HTC fired the new hires before even cementing its Brno center plans. CTP’s Tomáš Budař said HTC has not yet signed a lease for the warehouse space. The developer says HTC has not publicly disclosed its current plans.
