HB Reavis plans to demolish the Merkuria office building on Argentinská street in Prague 7-Holešovice. The 1971 socialist era structure, which served as the headquarters of the foreign trade company Merkuria, will be replaced by a new office project. The project is currently in planning, and HB Reavis will not touch the existing structure before it secures the necessary permits, which can take a few years. In the meantime, the developer will operate the building. Merkuria offers 13,000 sqm of usable space, of which is 80 percent leased. The building underwent a reconstruction between 2001 and 2003, and in 2015 it was one of the candidates for Prague 7’s new administrative headquarters.
