A new report from S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Indices shows that South Florida home prices fell out of the top 10 metropolitan areas for price growth in February. The area’s home prices rose by 6.2 percent year-over-year in February, which was only good enough for a national ranking of No. 11. Recent reports indicate that home sales in the region have fallen significantly, which could lead to property owners lowering their asking prices in the near future. Portland, Oregon led the nation with a 11.9 percent year-over-year increase followed by Seattle, with 11.0 percent, and Denver, with 9.7 percent.
