Confiseur Läderach merged Heidi Chocolat, the chocolate factory it owned in Romania, with the Julius Meinl group. Erwin Vondenhoff, the general manager of Heidi Chocolat, confirmed the transaction between Julius Meinl and Confiseur Läderach but did not disclose any additional details.
Heidi Chocolat was established in 1994 by the Läderach family. Heidi Chocolat factory is situated in the Bucharest’s Pantelimon district and has more than 350 employees.
