Serbia’s Commission for State Aid Control has approved a €14.4 million grant to Henkel for an investment of €93.5m for the construction of a new production line at its chemical plant in Krusevac. The plant should be operational in the second half of the year, though it will take until next year to get up to full capacity. The investment includes an upgrade of the on-site warehouse facilities, reconstruction work and an expansion of the existing plant, which will produce washing machine capsules. Of the total value, €82.1m will go towards equipment, with the remainder budgeted for construction work.
