The Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA) has established a program that will help small and medium-sized companies enter foreign markets. The finance ministry is backing the initiative with HUF 1bn in funding. The “Fit for Export” program aims to keep Hungarian companies competitive on the post-Covid global market, according to HEPA CEO Balazs Hendrich. A total of 200 SMEs or microbusinesses that show potential of entering a foreign market will be given tools and guidance for expansion under the framework of HEPA’s new program.
