Japanese automotive manufacturer HI-LEX is set to invest CZK 1.16bn into a new plant it is planning to build in the Czech city of Most. The company intends to produce door systems for cars at the new facility. In the first phase, HI-LEX expects to hire a staff of 100. By 2023, it plans to employ up to 250 people. The head of the government investment agency CzechInvest, Karel Kučera, says the agency has negotiated investments totaling almost CZK 124bn with Japanese investors. The majority of them are automotive producers servicing the German market and hiring Czech suppliers.
