Hidroelectrica to resume normal power deliveries

26 April 2012

Hidroeletrica has told its contractual partners that from May 1 will resume normal energy deliveries, having been forced to cut back last September due to drought conditions.
The company activated the force majeure clause in its contracts because it lacked sufficient water to generate the necessary power in its hydro-power plants, and so it reduced energy supplies to all partners.
Hydrological conditions have improved lately, and the forecast for monthly and seasonal average flow is favorable, according to a press release from the Ministry of Economy.
