High-speed train plans for Kladno to Prague link

1 October 2012

The daily Metro quoted an anonymous source from the railway authority Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) saying that construction of Prague’s high-speed train project should start in two years. The Transport Ministry has cut the project into two parts in order to make it more feasible. While the original idea was to connect Kladno and the Prague international airport to the Masaryk railway station in the capital’s center, this latest proposal would ferry passengers between Kladno, the airport, and the Veleslavín metro A station now under construction in Prague 6.
