HIH Invest Real Estate (HIH Invest) has let more than 1,700 square meters of the multi-tenant office property “HBF1″ built in 2017 on Gertrude-Fröhlich-Sandner-Strasse in Vienna. The seven-storey office building at the new main station has a total rental area of 4,200 square meters and is now fully let. It is located in an individual fund of HIH Invest Real Estate. The National Anti-Doping Agency Austria GmbH (NADA Austria) is renting around 650 square meters in the property on a long-term basis. The independent institution is involved in comprehensive anti-doping work. Parts of this area are used by the clubs 100% SPORT and Play Fair Code. The brokerage company EHL acted as an intermediary.

NADA Austria Managing Director Mag. Michael Cepic explains: “Joint efforts are required to make Austrian sport fair and just. I am therefore pleased that the merger of the organizations NADA Austria, 100% SPORT and Play Fair Code has succeeded in uniting Austrian expertise in the field of sport integrity in one place under the location name IRIS, Institutions for Respect and Integrity in Sport.”

The tour operator Falktours AT GmbH has expanded its existing space in the building and rented a further 320 square meters. In addition, the seller and project developer of the property, Rhomberg Bau GmbH, has increased its office space in the property by around 750 square meters to a total of around 1,800 square meters with its Viennese branch and is therefore the anchor tenant in “HBF1”. The catering area on the ground floor (850 square meters) is operated by Vapiano.

Jana Wetzel, Real Estate Manager at HIH Invest Real Estate Austria, comments on the new leases: “The location at the new main train station in Vienna was able to assert itself as a top office location even during the corona pandemic. This is also shown by the expansion of space by existing tenants. In general, the real estate and rental market in the Austrian capital is quite unimpressed by the crisis in very good locations.”
