Hill International has won a tender from Health Assurance Hospitals Company (Dhaman) to provide project and construction management services in connection with the construction of two new hospitals in Kuwait. The plans call for the construction of two 300-bed secondary care hospitals, staff accommodation buildings and parking facilities which will be located in Al Ahmadi and Al Jahra. The three-year contract has an estimated value to Hill of approximately $13.1 million (KWD 3.9 million). Health Assurance Hospitals Company (Dhaman) was established as a public-private partnership as part of the State of Kuwait’s National Healthcare Expansion Plan. In response to a projected population growth of two million people by 2026, Dhaman plans to build secondary care hospitals and primary health clinics in various locations across Kuwait.
