Following a strategic development agreement with Primestar Hospitality, Hilton Worldwide is planning to open 10 new hotels in key cities on the German and Austrian markets. The new hotels are expected to fall under the company’s Hampton by Hilton brand. Hilton has more than 35 properties in operation or under development in Germany and Austria, of which 13 are Hampton by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn. A Hampton by Hilton recently opened Nuremberg.
“Hampton by Hilton’s unprecedented growth in Europe has led to a portfolio that’s approaching 100 hotels trading or under development across the continent,” said Phil Cordell, global head focused on service and Hampton brand management at Hilton Worldwide. “Primestar’s development expertise will focus on introducing focused service hotels in urban centers across Germany and Austria.”
