A historic villa in downtown Bucharest was quickly snatched off the market for €4m. DTZ Echinox brokered the deal. The name of the buyer was not disclosed.
“This was not a typical transaction. The client was impressed by the property and bought it in record time. Usually, the bidding and selection process for the purchase of luxury properties is lengthy and formal, sometimes lasting two or three years,” said Raluca Plavita, a senior consultant at DTZ. Built in the 1930s, the 2,200 sqm villa was renovated in 2000. DTZ brokered €8m in deals on the luxury real estate market over the first three quarters of 2014.
