MCF Capital Inc. has sold a historic office building in Baltimore’s Commercial Business District for $1.35 million. Built in 1892, the 17,890 sqf Knickerbocker is located at 218-220 East Lexington St. and traded for just over $75 per sqf. Purchased buy Palmstone Knickerbocker, the building is one of the few buildings that survived the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904. At the time of the sale the building was 100-percent leased, including a florist and pub on the first floor. Transwestern Vice President Leo McDermott represented the seller in the transaction. “The Knickerbocker is a unique piece of downtown Baltimore’s history,” said McDermott. “Not only does it present an excellent investment opportunity for the buyer, but it is a rare chance to own an iconic, historical structure.”
