The former monastery on Nám. Republiky in central Prague has attracted considerable interest from 70 potential bidders, including investors from the US and Switzerland, Czech Finance Minister Andrej Babiš said Monday. The auction is set for Sept. 30. Bidding will start at CZK 790m for the state-owned historical complex that formerly housed several government departments. The Czech government greenlighted the auction in April. The complex is located between the Hybernia theater and the Palladium shopping center.
